clear and practical Biblical study are invited to join the group. We follow the regular academic school year and are considering together this year the Old Testament book of Genesis.
Antithesis Youth Ministry
"What does light have to do with darkness?" Look up II
Corinthians 6:14-7:1 and you'll read the clear message we are trying to communicate to our young people (7th through 12th grade).
Sunday Morning Study time
Under the banner "taking captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ," Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church offers Biblical education classes for all ages, each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. A nursery/cry room is provided for all services.
Recent adult Biblical education classes that have been offered include: Systematic Theology and an expositional study of the Old Testament book of II Samuel. Two classes for adults usually run concurrently to offer a variety of subjects for various interests and needs.
Currently the two adult classes are:
The Westminster Larger Catechism and
"A Gospel Primer for Christians:" Learning to See the Glories of God's Love, by Milton Vincent
Classes are available for 2-3 year old children; preschool
children (4-5 year olds); primary grades (1st - 3rd grades); junior grades (4-6); and the combined junior/senior high school group. In the 2-3 through the 6th grade use the curriculum developed by Children's Ministries International ( www.childministry.com). The curriculum is based on the Children's Catechism (an unofficial, i.e., no Presbyterian denomination has officially received it as part of its doctrinal standards, simplification of the Westminster Confession of Faith Shorter Catechism). Using graphics, songs, workbooks, Bible stories and memory games, children learn the basics of the Christian faith and receive a strong foundation in the Bible.
