Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church
We
praise
God
that
he
has
blessed
us
with
children
to
bring
up
in
the
discipline
and
instruction
of
the
Lord
(Eph.
6:4).
We
believe
that
encouraging
children
to
rightly
worship
God
is
one
of
the
most
important
duties
of
parents
and
the
church.
To
that
end,
we
encourage
parents
to
work
toward
the
goal
of
worshiping
together
with
their
children
by
modeling
worship
to
them
and
gradually
teaching
them
the
meaning
of
the
different
parts
of
worship
(prayer,
singing,
scripture
reading,
confession
of
beliefs
and
of
sin,
the
sacraments,
preaching,
and
offering)
while
encouraging
them
to
participate
in
the
worship
service
as they become able.
We
provide
a
comfortable
and
accommodating
nursery
for
young
children
up
to
around
age
4
who
need
to
eat
or
sleep
or
those
who
are
restless
and
need
to
leave
the
service
for
a
period
of
time.
Nursing
mothers
are
welcome
to
use
a
private
area
of
the
nursery
to
feed
their
infants.
It
is
our
desire
that
God
be
glorified
by
all
those
who
gather
in
His
presence
-
the
young,
the
old
and
the
children
(Ps.
148:12-13)
–
and
that
the
elements
of
the
service
be
understood
and
undertaken
by
all
those
present.
Our
children
are
members
of
the
covenant
community
so
it
is
our
preference,
and
thus
our
policy,
that
children
learn
to
worship
by
worshiping
while
gathered
with
all
the
other
community
members
rather
than
separated
into
a
smaller
group.
We
ask
that
all
members
of
the
community
respect
others’
worship
in
both
minimizing
disturbances
and
extending
grace
to
those
in
the
process
of
training
their children.
Children’s
learning
aid
handouts
and
crayons
are
available
in
the
narthex
near
the
main
entry
doors
to
help
children
focus
on
the
sermon
topic
and
occupy
their
time.
Some
helpful
suggestions
on
how
to
encourage
your
children
in
developing
discipline
and
more
fully
participating in worship are available at:
